Yesterday was my second driving lesson. 10-12 noon.
I did the slope by myself the first time. My instructor outside and watched my progress. I did okay. I managed to balance on the slope. I practised side parking too and it was alright too. Well, I'll make sure that I maintain them so that I would not have to learn it all over again.
My biggest mishap was that I hit a curb and crawled onto it. The car engine was switched off automatically which scare the wits out of me. Imagine the car inclined with 2 side wheels on the curb and the engine cut immediately and of course with a loud 'bang' from the hitting of the curb. I was panicking and not supposed to turn left. The consequences were those.
Overall, it was...still... FUN!

Driving Diaries 2
16-1-2012 is my first 2 hour driving lesson. I got my L license on the 10th and only started lessons today.
It was fun. Today, the instructor let me to handle the wheel to driving school. So, I literally DROVE there while driving there I got honed by lorry on the way there, it's ok, i'm not bothered by it. Changing gear was relatively easy, to my surprise.
So, I was taught how to do side parking. It was tough, initially. The hardest part was the FULL turning of steering wheel. Turn Turn Turn Turn--Don't STOP-- Turn Turn Turn--- Pop-- ... okay, then you press on the oil and lift your leg on the clutch up a bit. Miracles happened, the car started left, inwards into the space surrounded by poles.
To be honest with you, I'm not very good at doing routine stuffs. The car's engine offed suddenly because I pulled up the clutch too quickly, twice and I could not stop apologizing for my mistake. Another one is, the same old thing, moving away from the slope, I tend to accelerate, clutch and reach for hand brake, which is wrong, after so many times, I still don't get it. The correct one should be accelerate, clutch, accelerate then only handbrake.
This is only just the beginning.
